Sky Monochrome
6 images, portrait and landscape

6 different scenes, black and white from color images. A strange contrast is created by editing the different color channels separately. This reveals additional structure hidden under the otherwise colorful clouds.
There are different ways to turn a color image into black and white. It starts with different channels one per color. They need to be merged into a single channel that represents only brightness. I used channel mixing for this series and played with the different settings for red, green and blue.
